About Dr. Lee
Dr. Kimberly J. Leeis a female Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and the Director of Beverly Hills Facial Plastic Surgery Center. Her office is located in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills, one block from the world famous Rodeo Drive. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Head and Neck Surgery at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centerand on Medical Staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Lee was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from Stanford University, with Honors in Biological Sciences, Honors in Humanities, Phi Beta Kappa, and Academic Distinction. She won the prestigious Dinkelspiel Award at Stanford Universityfor her “intellectual organizational and leadership skills.” Dr. Lee was one of 86 students accepted to the prestigious Stanford University School of Medicine, where she received her MD degree. She completed her residency and served as Chief Resident in Head and Neck Surgery / Facial Plastic Surgery at the “Best of the West” Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centerand is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Lee completed her Fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, now sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at the Center for Facial and Nasal Surgery. During her fellowship, her entire experience was focused on specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, nose, eyes, ears, head and neck areas. There, she received extensive training in the most up-to-date techniques, including laser treatments and procedures that are minimally invasive but yield maximum results. Dr. Lee’s surgical expertise lies in facial rejuvenation, facelifts, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, asian blepharoplasty, ethnic plastic surgery, facial paralysis reconstruction, nasal reconstruction, and head and neck cancer reconstruction.
Actively engaged in clinical research, Dr. Lee’s research interest is focused on how to advance and optimize patient care and management. She has won numerous awards and presented at several national meetings.
Dr. Lee gained national and international attention and recognition for her skillful artistry and ability to treat challenging conditions with amazing results. Dr. Lee has been interviewed in press conferences with ABC, NBC, CBSas well as numerous media appearances on The Doctors, The Bonnie Hunt Showand Inside Edition. Dr. Lee has been featured in several articles, including People Magazine, and the Associated Press interviews have led to newspaper articles around the country, including the Los Angeles Times, and San Jose Mercury News.
Dr. Lee is a committee member of the Women in Facial Plastic Surgery and a committee member of Face to Face, an organization dedicated towards pro bono surgery for women victims of domestic violence through the AAFPRS, and a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery, California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Lee was recently honored with the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award. This honor is awarded to those doctors whose patients feel treat them with kindness and compassion. Every year hundreds of thousands of patients provide online feedback about their doctors that include areas such as bedside manner, doctor-patient face-time, and the degree of follow-up. Patients also provide an overall rating.
While many doctors receive positive feedback from their patients, only a few recieve praise about the compassion associated with their care. Of over 870,000 practicing doctors in the nation only 3% were accorded this honor in 2013.
