Botox is an FDA approved treatment that works to temporarily relieve one’s face from harsh or heavy lines between the brows. Botox is carefully injected into muscles that rest beneath the layer of skin on your forehead. Botox safely reduces muscle activity, which would typically cause lines to form between the brows. It is Dr. Lee’s goal to administer some of the top Botox Beverly Hills can produce. A Botox treatment is a simple injection into the muscles between the brows. It works by safely relaxing and reducing the amount of muscle activity that would normally be the cause of wrinkles or fine lines, which form between your brows.

Why do I need Botox?

Aging skin and wrinkles can come about due to a number of reasons, including loss of elasticity within the skin, or loss of collagen. Those vertical lines that can arise in between your eyebrows are a result of excessive muscle contractions, meaning whenever you furrow your brow from concentrating or some other emotion, or squint, or frown, these muscles contract, causing your skin to stretch and fold. After years of continual contraction of the skin and muscles, those wrinkles that have developed are likely to linger, even though your face and muscles are relaxed. This can result in quite an unflattering expression, which may suggest you look tired or exasperated, even when you aren’t. Botox works by hindering nerve impulses to the targeted muscle areas. With Dr. Lee’s extensive training and genuine care for each patient, you can be sure that you’ll be getting excellent, noticeable results that make you appear more youthful.

Botox for Men

Botox is not just for women. In fact, more men are becoming comfortable with the idea of facial enhancement and looking to take better care of their appearances.

We encourage you to schedule a consultation with Dr. Lee so that together you can determine if Botox is the right treatment for you and your particular goals. Botox has grown to become one of the most popular minimally invasive aesthetic procedures for men.

Dysport

Dysport (or Reloxin) is one of the newest breakthroughs in the field of anti-aging injectables. Dysport was FDA approved in 2009 and has been used outside the U.S since 1991. Dysport injections are similar to Botox in that it uses the same refined botulinum toxin. Like Botox, Dysport’s neuromuscular blocking effect relaxes tense or tight facial muscles, while working to eliminate forehead wrinkles, as well as under the eye and those undesired “crow’s feet”(which are the wrinkles that can occur on the outer edge of the eyes) to help you achieve a younger looking, refreshed appearance.

Treatment time will depend on the exact amount of Dysport being injected into targeted areas. Typically, Dysport injections can be performed in the office, and take between 10-20 minutes to complete. We make great efforts to ensure that you feel comfortable during your Dysport treatment. We apply a special topical anesthetic cream, and use thin, delicate needles, to help minimize any potential pain or discomfort. The effect of Dysport injections lasts anywhere from 3-6 months.

Recovery from Dysport

Following your Dysport injection treatment, you should be able to resume your daily activities immediately afterward. Like Botox, you may experience some minor swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness.
